21’ Billboard Music Awards: Style & Stage Slays
The 2021 Billboard Music Awards, streamed live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, went down in a major way. But we came for the Queens, and they were #heavy on deck per usual. The carpet got all the smoke from the ladies, with style slays from H.E.R, Saweetie, Doja Cat, Kehlani, Alicia Keys, Rocsi Diaz and more. Check out some of our favs!
The stage stayed lit with some of the best performances of the night including Doja Cat feat. SZA: "Kiss Me More", H.E.R along side DJ Kaled & Migoes, Pink and Sounds of Blackness feat. Ann Nesby: "Optimistic".
It was A. Keys for the hightlight of the night for Us! She gave "Songs In A Mirror" the celebration it deserved for the album's 20th Anniversary. Her performance offered a powerful medley of hits from the legendary project, originally released in 2001. The LP debuted on the Billboard 200 at #1 followed up by the 2002 Grammy Award for best R&B album. #WeSalute
