Barbie Highlights Emerging Black Designers
Through a partnership with Black in Fashion Council (BIFC), Mattel's Barbie will create a platform for successful Black Designers to inspire an audience that will make up the future of Fashion & Beauty.
Nia Thomas - designer of her namesake resort wear label, Larissa Muehleder - Founder x Creative Director for luxury brand Muehleder, and Fumi Egbon - the style voice behind Fumi the Label, will all be center stage for an interview series to share their journeys with up & coming talent.
Additionally, Barbie and the BIFC collective have developed customized programming that will spotlight the women at the 2025 ENVSN Festival, a weekend long event curated for young designers.
The campaign also commemorates the 45th anniversary of the first Black Barbie doll, designed by Kitty Black Perkins. Mattel will continue to celebrate Black Designers via @BarbieStyle. | @girlinthewhiteglasses @msninathomas @fumitoronto Salute ladies! ✨️
