Walmart x EBONY Roll Out SheEO Series
disrupter dis·rupt·or (noun)
a person or thing that interrupts an event, activity, or process by causing a disturbance or problem:
a company or form of technology that causes radical change in an existing industry or market by means of innovation:
The retail and media giants have teamed up to empower women business owners, founders and executives through dynamic storytelling.
The 6-part series will journey though the stories of these trailblazing women, breaking barriers and energizing industries from beauty and lifestyle to retail and parenting. Brands like The Fresh Dolls, Black Paper Party and Thank God It’s Natural are introducing innovative product offerings to communities of color and beyond. But it’s the representation for us. Statistically, Black women start-ups experience more challenges in business with resource access and visibility. Ebony’s mission to highlight those challenges, along with the wins is setting a strong example for female entrepreneurs of color that success is possible. In addition to a national content rollout, Wal-Mart is committed to elevating and representing these leaders through product placement and creative exposure opportunities.
Actress and Entrepreneur Masai Martin is set to host the SheEO interview series.
The platform couldn’t have been more fitting for the young powerhouse, who made Hollywood history as a teenager becoming the nation’s youngest executive producer through her film company Genius. Martin’s nail line, Mari by Marsai, has also positioned her as an emerging business trailblazer.
Just like the women behind these brands that are revolutionizing various industries, their unique voices matter. Their journeys are inspiring the next generation of leaders. And their triumphs are opening doors for emerging female entrepreneurs and SheEOs.
