A New Perspective: Raven Goodwin & Amber Riley are reimaging a classic

Known as “Industry Twins”, actresses Amber Riley & Raven Goodwin are bringing a new look to thriller movies. The 2 have teamed up to deliver a remake of the 1992 villain driven psychological thriller “Single White Female”.

“Two Black, plus-size women in a psychological thriller is a dope concept to me.” Godwin told Essence.

Lifetime’s Single Black Female will see the 2 lookalikes linking up by way of a work-place opportunity that positions Riley (Simone) as Goodwin’s assistant who plays the role of Monica, a successful talk show host dealing with the recent loss of her father. You’ll have to tune in too see how this thing plays out, but if you’ve ever seen the original, then you have a pretty good idea of how fast it can get real bad. Amber Riley is best known for her star Mercedes Jones in Glee & Raven Goodwin slayed her breakthrough roll in the popular BET Series Being Mary Jane as Niecy Patterson. We excited too both ladies on screen together for such a dope concept, and equally as excited to see them continue to elevate in film.
