Our favorite awkward black girl is offering up insight to creators with goals of carving a space in Hollywood. Actress, writer and producer Issa Rae launched her new Master Class - Creating Outside The Lines, a series of 14 video based lessons designed to provide motivational tools to writers interested in film and production. Topics covered range from “Finding your voice & inspiration” to “Diversify your skills”

Rae is the creator and star of HBO’s award-winning series “Insecure”, an instant hit following the growth and success of her Youtube web series “Awkward Black Girl”. Rae has also starred in big screen releases like “The Photograph”, Little” and “The Hate U Give”. She’s now sharing her experiences of navigating Hollywood as a creator of color with new comers who are at the same stage she was when she started. Dopness.
