Self Love Is The Best Love!

Happy Weekend! As a reminder of how amazing you are, here’s 5 ideas for rewarding yourself with some selfcare.

1) DIY Spa Day

Light some candles, put on a fire playlist (or tune into HER 107.9), and make yourself a beautiful bath. YOU DESERVE IT ALL QUEEN. Going to an actual spa would be nice but doing it all for yourself is fun too; and more intimate. Think about it, the spa does not know your favorite candle is Bath & Body Works, “Black Tie” scent because it smells like a sexy man. Yes, the smell of lavender is nice, but it is not your favorite. When you have a DIY Spa Day you should do it with intention. Use all your favorite skin and hair care products. We recommend a calming aloe mask. It is inexpensive, has an array of benefits, and will leave your skin feeling baby soft.

2} Go on a date

Just think about how good of a night it would be to go on the perfect date. How great would it be to find quality time with someone who is kind, thoughtful, and attractive? You should do that... Take yourself out… Seriously! Dating is the process of showing interest and affection to someone you admire. You learn a lot about someone when you go on dates so take that time to learn yourself. Learn your own love language. Some great date ideas that come to mind are dinners wearing that dress that makes everyone stop and stare, picnics, lake trips, walk in the park, and hiking.

3) The “Insta Baddie” YouTube Challenge

This is a trending topic in the YouTube Beauty Guru industry. Females spend the day transforming with a set budget amount of money. Activities range from manicures, pedicures, getting your eyebrows done, scheduling a hair appointment, getting a massage and/or facial, etc. You get the point. Sometimes it is good to spoil thyself every once and a while. Even better to use it as a tool of productivity. Make it a goal to reward yourself.

4) Get Fit

One thing many people overlook when learning self-care is their internal health. When you feel good, you look good and vice versa (refer to tip #3). Start working out and being mindful of what you put into your body. “But I don’t like to work out and eat avocado for breakfast, lunch, and dinner”. If you follow Michael Todd on IG (@iammiketodd) you may have seen him recently talk about how our discipline becomes our devotion over time. Besides, there are TONS of new healthy recipes that do not include avocado now a days. Take baby steps and watch your mental and physical health excel.

5) POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT

Manifestation is real. Speaking positivity into the atmosphere ultimately extrudes positive outcomes in one’s surroundings. But the same applies to negative energy as well and, unfortunately, we live in a society that teaches us to have a fixed mindset of negative thoughts and behaviors. An awesome way to practice this specific practice would be showing gratitude, reciting positive affirmations, and stopping the negativity in its tracks. This means learning to be more kind to yourself and protecting the purity of your mind. Does seeing your exes post bother you inside? UNFOLLOW THEM! This is admittingly cliché advice but the same goes for any other account you follow. Create a space of motivation.
