Level Up Her Business

It’s no secret (or surprise) that Women of Color are the fastest growing demographic in entrepreneurship. Yet, these girl bosses are often overlooked and underserved with resources and funding. Organizations and notable brands are stepping up to the challenge to offer business growth opportunities through knowledge, mentorship and grants to black-owned startups and women founded small businesses.

As we near a new year, it’s important for women to know there are avenues for support out there! Check out some of these funding resources with a mission to help Black Women get to the bag and level up #HerBusiness.

HerRise Micro-Grant program

The HerRise Micro-Grant provides financial assistance, with the help of our corporate sponsors and donors, to women of color creating innovative solutions that impact their community and that are often unable to secure funding for their small business.

Beyoncé’s Cécred x BEYGood Fund

Each year, twenty five $10,000 grants will be awarded to qualifying salon business owners in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and New Jersey so they can continue their transformative impact in the community

Amazon’s Black Business Accelerator

Black Business Accelerator provides Black-owned businesses with a range of resources to help them sell with Amazon. The program has provided thousands of entrepreneurs and small businesses with education, financial support, and mentorship opportunities that have helped them connect with more customers and build their brand.

EmpowerHer Grant

EmpowHer grants support women who need early-stage business capital, a network of business advisors, or both.

Publish Her Business Impact Grant

Publish Her is dedicated to providing resources to female-identifying business owners and authors. Since 2018, more than $250,000 in grants and services have been awarded to women in business.

She’s Connected By AT&T

By fostering a strong network and providing substantial funding, AT&T empowers women entrepreneurs to leverage technology and expand their reach. The She’s Connected program, sponsored by AT&T, places a spotlight on woman-owned businesses by offering a generous grant of $20,000.

Amber Grant for Women

Gives away at least $30,000 every month in Amber Grant money. In recognition of the diversity of businesses owned by women, the program also expanded grant-giving to include “Startup Grants,” “Business Category Grants,” as well as three “$25,000 Year End Grants.”

Corporate Counsel Women of Color Grants

Corporate Counsel aim to help women gain economic power and build wealth by providing business owners with the latest business grant and funding information

StartHER Grant

The program is dedicated to igniting entrepreneurial journeys among Texas-based women business owners with the financial support to fuel their growth and drive success.

Digitalundivided’s BREAKTHROUGH Program

Sponsored by JPMorgan Chase & Co, Breakthrough provides founders with a deeper understanding of their customers, startup funding, growth marketing strategies, and networking opportunities to scale their ventures. Each company accepted into the program will receive a $5,000 grant.

National Black Business Pitch

The National Black Business Pitch (NBBP) is a competition designed to connect Black-owned businesses to corporations who seek to expand and diversify their supply chain with new products and services. Three companies will be selected to receive cash prizes of up to $10,000.

Startup Collective by Aveeno

The Startup Collective by Aveeno is an initiative designed to empower Black female-identifying entrepreneurs with a product, brand, or technology that meets the skin or hair care needs of Black consumers. They will be enabled to achieve business growth by providing them with access to grants, education, and resources.

Bold Beginnings program

Bold Beginnings is for women under 40 with big ideas. Those chosen to attend from across North America share their vision. One leaves with $25,000 - All leave knowing they’re capable and believed in, equipped with meaningful support.
